Shalom, dear prayer warriors,

As we celebrate Purim at the beginning of March, we remember how the Lord used the courageous Esther to bring salvation to the Jewish people. And in our day, the Lord is calling young Jewish followers of Yeshua – the one whose name means ‘Salvation’ – to courageously take the gospel message of salvation to the Jewish people.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught [wisdom], that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught [understanding]. (Isaiah 50:4)

Please join us in praying for:

• the Lord to give us wisdom as we take the gospel message to the Jewish people and that He will awaken their hearts and ears to understand His saving Word;
• new Jewish followers of Yeshua to grow in their faith and for their knowledge and understanding of the Word to deepen;
• young Jewish followers of Yeshua who have been called to take the gospel to their own people. Pray that just like Esther, the Lord would give them unprecedented favour and courage to walk out their calling;
• more Gentile followers of Yeshua to begin to intercede for the salvation of the Jewish people in South Africa. Zechariah 10:1 tells Israel to ask the Lord for physical rain. Let’s pray that the Lord will send spiritual rain upon the Jewish people in our nation so that their hearts will be softened to the truth and identity of their Messiah; and
• Us as we prepare to travel and connect with Christians and Jewish contacts across the country.
