Pray with Us!

Shalom, dear prayer warriors,

During the last supper in the upper room, Jesus declared these words over the third cup of Passover, the cup of Redemption:

And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood." (Luke 22:20)

When Jesus spoke these words, it wasn't in isolation. In fact, He was directly referencing Scripture:

Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31:31-33)

Please join us in praying for:

  • Jewish people to see that sin can only be atoned for through sacrifice and that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was the sign of the New Covenant, as spoken of by Jeremiah;
  • Jewish people to also see Jesus pictured in the binding of Isaac in Genesis 22 as the lamb that the Lord provided;
  • The Lord to open the eyes of our people during this Passover season as they go through the Seder to see Yeshua as the Ultimate Sacrifice for their sins;
  • The Lord to protect our Jewish people in South Africa, Israel and around the world from continued anti-Semitic attacks and incidents. Pray also for Christians to be bold and speak out against this irrational and demonic anti-Semitism and show the love of Messiah to our Jewish people by standing with them; and
  • the Church to awaken to the everlasting covenant between the Lord and His people and that His heart for them is to come to know and love His Son.
