May Prayer Points

Shalom, prayer warriors,

Some of our team will be travelling this month to follow the Lord’s call to prepare the way for further Jewish evangelism in South Africa. We trust this will sow seeds that will result in good fruit for the kingdom of heaven. As we prepare to travel, we are reminded of the words of the Psalmist: ‘The Lord will keep you from all harm – He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore’
(Psalms 121:7-8). This is our prayer for our Jewish people in this season of uncertainty and horrific acts of anti-Semitism.

Please join us in praying for:

  • the Jewish-Gentile couples whom we minister to. Some of them are in a time of wilderness, and others are facing major trials. Please join us in interceding for them and praying that the light of Messiah will be the lamp to their path;

  • Jewish followers of Jesus in South Africa. Many of us are facing the very real threat of anti-Semitism as well as varying degrees of persecution from our Jewish family and community. Pray that the Lord will encourage and strengthen Jewish followers of Jesus and that we will be a light to our families and the Jewish community;

  • the church in South Africa to speak out against anti-Semitism and stand with our Jewish people. Messiah is the only hope we have for true peace between man and God and between Jew and Gentile;

  • new opportunities and doors to open so that we can connect with the Jewish community. Pray also that the Lord will prepare the hearts and minds of those Jewish people to be ready to receive the gospel of Jesus the Messiah;

  • our partners in Jewish evangelism in South Africa. Pray that we will continue to grow in unity and walk faithfully in our calling as we seek to build the Lord’s kingdom together; and

  • Jews for Jesus globally as we enter a time of leadership transition. Our current head of the ministry, David Brickner, will soon step down from leadership and transfer the role to a new leader. Please pray that the Lord will lead this process, and as we journey through this leadership transition, we will be able to move from strength to strength in Messiah.

In Jesus, the light of the world,
The Jews for Jesus South Africa Team
